Too many common elements you can find in other books and not enough of that special quality needed to really set it apart from other werewolf stories. I'll be reading the second book still, but I won't be in a huge hurry to buy it like I was with this one....Midnight Bloomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13066607315430568010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121303729579303574.post-15409580424147676592010-12-04T11:22:53.508-06:002010-12-04T11:22:53.508-06:00I thought this was okay, but yes, it's clearly...I thought this was okay, but yes, it's clearly the first part of a trilogy rather than a story intended to stand on it's own. Hence the lack of anything really happening. It has some good bits regardless, but it's a far cry from Linger or Nightshade.

-LupLun
Lupines and LunaticsLupLunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01569316994425614394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121303729579303574.post-87231165814546846712010-12-02T16:24:43.546-06:002010-12-02T16:24:43.546-06:00Yes, definitely keep an open mind! I'm looking forward to seeing what you think :o)Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09793648441233864051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121303729579303574.post-80883014586370058912010-12-02T12:01:58.057-06:002010-12-02T12:01:58.057-06:00Oh. It's a bit disheartening to read you didn't enjoy it but I'll still try to keep an open mind when reading, I guess. Ugh, I really hope I enjoy it more than you did because I hate the feeling I've wasted my time reading a book when I could have been reading something so much better!Ayleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07639250102446794830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121303729579303574.post-47388720129178104322010-12-02T11:15:46.300-06:002010-12-02T11:15:46.300-06:00I know what you mean about feeling cheated. I don't like it when I invest time in a book, only to discover that said book has very little plot developement, a cliff hanger ending, and lots of questions but very few answers. That's part of the reason why I haven't started Pegasus by Robin McKinley yet. I heard that it has no ending and that the story just stops! I'm going to wait until more of the series is published!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09793648441233864051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121303729579303574.post-68236667188498989052010-12-02T10:05:14.222-06:002010-12-02T10:05:14.222-06:00Hm, doesn't sound too hot. I'll probably wait until the series is fully published and then maybe take a look at it.

I really dislike books where you look at all those pages, think about what happened in the story, and wonder why the heck there are so many pages just to tell that story? I feel a little cheated. Like I invested so much time reading, but didn't get much story out of it.Small Reviewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16072352095510905410noreply@blogger.com
